Today I´ve been on the bed for all day. I´m ill with a big flu and I feel pain in all my body. I spent my evening working on my essay, reading about it and writing some draft but everything is being more difficult for me because I´m sick.
I will send you some draft tomorrow to your email address and I would like you to correct my mistakes and guide me on my work, if is possible.
This month is more difficult for me, I´ve ever wrote anything similar in English and I feel that I´m not doing it properly.I don´t feel confident with my written that´s why it´s taking me really long.
Anyway I watched a programme about a woman that wrote a book when the global war changed everything was really interesting and the spoken English was so polite and high standard. Honestly I can´t remember exactly the name but I will check on the library because I think could be interesting to read.

Media’s negative influence

Nowadays the media, television, radio, newspaper and Internet, is impacting in our daily lives subconsciously to everyone, from children to adults. The most influential media channel is television, which is bombarding us with thousand of images of violence, advertising, sex and celebrities. A child is exposed to about 40.000 advertising a year (Rayuso 2007).
Children cannot see the real problem for a war, because when they play a game is all about to win or to lose, but in the real war everyone loses. Also happen the same with teenager that when they watch television they only see perfect bodies on television and they think that is the prototype to follow, bringing alimentary problems as anorexia or obese. Another question is that the people can watch whatever they like and the majority of times are a fiction characters instead a real life that they can find everywhere, every time.
What this essay will claim is that media images have a negative influence in our world, our everyday life and we have to be aware about the dangerous of the problem.


Outline.

A. The violence is coming to us from different ways, news, series and every programme we watch on television, making it as a normal thing.
B. The television show us a wrong image about the perfect bodies that make teenager think they should be same as them. Bringing problems as anorexia or obese.
C. The people watch what they want to watch and it is a non-real life because they can enjoy thinking they are the protagonist of the film.


That is my introduction and outline I would like to have a feed back about expression if it´s understanding or no just to double check that I´m going to the good way.
I spend my afternoon reading another essay about this aim and trying to order my ideas for the next step ( 1º paragraph).
I did almost everything today because i don´t have time to anything because of work but at least there I speak in English and every day I learn something new.

Hello!!
this weather is killing me, well at least with this could weather it´s not like to go out, then you stay at home studying, hehehe.
I´ve been listening a lecture online http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe61eFxhxVM&feature=related about blended learning, was difficult because it´s the first one I see without subtitle but it´s nice because is more similar to a real one.
It was interesting because the topic they treated is in relation with university and I can compare it with the studies I´m doing now, that have also some self-study on-line for example the lecture I´m listening. I took some notes and I would like to go to a real one to be ready for my degree next year.
Other side, because I know I´m not so good with preposition I did from the academic word list some exercises like thishttp://www.aal2.unibe.ch/englisch/eap/SleepPrepositions.htm where I found some difficulties on (pay attention to, exceed of, traced back to, divide into, typical of, during the night, but for example I didn´t know during is a preposition) that´s why I´d like to ask for a preposition list to help us with this problem I think too many people have, anyway my score was 57% I know I have to improve it but for me it´s not so bad this score.

Hello, long time I don't write but to be honest I have only 2 days off per week at work and these are the only ones that I have time to switch on my computer.
My self-study during this week was do my homework for the next day.Talk in English of course at work and no a lot more.
Today is the only day I could open Dilek's blog and check what she said on her links.
I've been working on the word list doing some exercises but I realise the level is getting harder and harder.I did a gap-fill about preposition (what is difficult for me) and my score was just 23% really bad. Then I do another exercise about collocation in a text "Coping with crowding" and my first score was 50% I match OK (public transport, population density, elevator effect, small-scale experiment, per capita) after that they gave me another opportunity to repeat it and I did good.
Also I've been browsing on the web about American series that describe the stereotype we talked this morning.
Now I will continue with some gap-fill and collocations exercises to practise my vocabulary as well I'm going to keep looking for on my dictionary the word list that Robin gave has the other day.
And today I can go early to the bed!!!!!!!hehehe

Today again like every Sundays I was working, but I was practising my pronunciation with my colleague that is English, I was asking her words that for me are difficult to pronunce and she was giving me some tricks. Now I feel more comfortable when I say management, pale or voucher.

Anyway during the weekend I watched also a film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and I enjoyed a lot, it´s a film that I can watch and watch and is always funny.( I really like Audrey Hepburn)

Hello!!!
today i finished work really late and I had to finish my research report for tomorrow.
because I was tired I needed to relax a bit I opened YouTube and me and my boyfriend we were listening some songs with lyrics to understand the meaning. Everything started with a reason, on my work I was listening a song that I though was really nice lyrics but I couldn't´t understand all (dear Mr. president _ pink)and after that....mmmmmm Have a look the rolling stones one mmmm..... what about queen..... and with queen we stay more than 30 minutes, well enough for today I have to sleep also and then we just shut everything I´m writing this and I go to sleep.

my new curriculum vitae

Today I've been doing some homework for my research report but only some drafts about the findings and correcting the first part of it. Most of the time I spend it in the elaboration of my new CV because I would like to change my current job.(I'll send to Helen by mail and then she can have a look and help me with my mistakes)
Now i'm going home and for sure tonight i will watch a film that I took from the library "Once uppon a time in America" I let you know tomorrow how was the film.

I´ve been working really hard today and I´m so tired. I did some homework for my research but apart of that i didn´t do more wratting today, well at list I practise my conversation at work like every single day, hehehe. I hope during the weekend I will have more time to do some studies on grammar online. I go to sleep ok? I need rest a little bit. ö zZzZzZ

the clockwork orange

yesterday night I watched a film: the clockwork orange. I watched it with subtitles in English but even like that for me was difficult to understand, I think it's a really interesting film with lots of meanings in everything that happen, to be honest I would like to watch it in my own language to understand completely everything. I watch TV everyday without subtitle, programmes like eggheads, escape to a country side and all kind of quiz programmes, I think watch TV teach you a lot of English pronunciation and help you to understand the meaning of words. Now I'm going to do some exercises on the web learn page and also I have to prepare the questionnaire for tomorrow.

I'm a little bit afraid about all of this but yes, this is my first time posting on my blog.
I'm sure i'm going to do grammar mistakes but the reason of to be here it's learn english.

During the last week i'm been doing self-study at home, at work, with my family...
My family were here on holidays and I went with them visiting museum as the british museum, the national gallery and tour of more interesting turistic places in London. I enjoyed a lot but is not my first time as for them but I liked to explain everything about my new city to them.
Talking about english vocabulary I've been playing with the dictionary on the way home almost every day with my boyfriend, He say a word and I have to say what is the meaning and the opposite.
As well yesterday at work on the team talk we play a game, "links": one person sit in front of the other one, then one star with one word and the other one have to say another word in relation with this for example: yellow-banana, banana-milk shake, milk shake-breakfast, breakfast-english, etc...
well enough for today..... I'll let you know tomorrow how my life is going outside class.
